IMAGINING THE FUTURE WE WANT

BBRA ANNUAL SUMMER PICNIC

Please join us at the Odd Down Sports Ground on the lawns adjacent to the BMX drive for our annual picnic.  This year we will convene Sunday 12 July at noon.  Bring your lunch & something to sit on and be  prepared for chat and laughter!  Everyone is welcome!

The Odd Down History/Family Research Group presents SUMMER HOLIDAY, a lighthearted film for the whole family to enjoy.  Join us on Thursday 27 August at 11:00am at the Odd Down AFC & Social Club (Combe Hay Lane) for the film which starts at 11:00am.  Everyone is welcome; there is no charge but the purchase of drinks to snacks is most appreciated.

VISIT TO THE BATH MUSEUM OF WORK

Please join the History Group on Thursday 14 May at 11:00 for a visit to The Bath Museum of Work to see the new exhibition "120 Years of Cinema & Film".  No reservations required but there is a £10 admission fee at the door.  Bring your Discovery card for a discount. https://museumofbath.org

Updates to the DOTT MicroMobility Scheme, Road Design Program, relaunch of the Police Beat Surgery as Coffee with the Cops, One Amazing Neighbour page,  general recruitment , the initiative for a pedestrian crossing at the Chelwood Kissing Gate on the Wellsway, the return of Forest of the Imagination, a proposed pedestrian gate into the Green Space from Wellsway, Community Engagement Champion and setting priorities for the coming year.

Community News

Odd Down Sports Ground Cafe Coffee Morning: join us the first Tuesday of each month from 10am.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

MidBloomfield Drinks Party: join us  for our next event which will be held Friday, 29 May at the newly refurbished Devonshire Arms at 6:00pm.  Simply turn up, purchase the drink of your choice & join us; you will be made most welcome!

Odd Down History Group meets at 2:00pm on the third Thursday of the month at the Odd Down Sports Ground Cafe.

Bloomfield "Coffee with the Cops" will be held Friday, 22 May at 10:00am at St. Luke's Church.  Join us for a chat about safety & security, local crime and all your policing issues.   Coffee & cake are available free of charge however donations are warmly received. Everyone is welcome!

Crafternoon: an open crafting session at the Odd Down Sports Ground the second Tuesday of the month from 2-3pm.  Everyone welcome !

St Luke's Church Coffee Morning:  Join your neighbours for free coffee & homemade cake every third Friday from 10-12p.  This is not a religious service but rather warm, friendly place for the community to gather & chat.  Each session will feature a different charity; a donations basket is available at the exit.  The next session will be Friday the 22of May which will also feature our BBRA Coffee With the Cops.  Everyone is welcome.

Dorothy House Breavement Help Point:  a community based program where all bereaved people are welcome to come & meet and talk with others who have suffered loss in an informal & supportive setting.  Odd Down Sports Ground Cafe, the first & third Monday of the month from 2-4pm.
